As far as Im aware this is a major TV show in the UK (hosted by a gardener...)

I'm not sure if i've seen such a farce before in my entire life. It's blatantly obvious that the "anti video game" crowd doesn't have a clue what they're on about. It would be funny if it wasn't broadcast on TV. The guy from CVG did an excellent job though, so props to him.

This is on ITV. They've been going downhill for a longtime (both in popularity and content)

kind of sad, that just like jack thompson, they are focusing on the moral's that they think are destructive to people in general of game's that are violent:

"violence is used as a tool of manipulation and also is an area of concern for law and culture which take attempts to suppress and stop it."

the problem is:

this program is only pointing out negative instead of what other game's like little big planet, Wii sport's, Viva pinata game's bring to the market for parent's that do not want their kid's play to violent game's.

which is exactly why there is an Rate system. just like in film's, you heard them say but your at home, where as in the movie theatre can be stopped. which is pretty funny, kid's have been sneaking into movie theatre's for movies that are rated R for pretty much the whole time I was growing up.

Like what he said Parent's need to take more of an active role if they are that worried about the video game's their children play.

The women was pretty stupid. The person that represented the industry was well informed and the old man wasn't too bad either. The woman was just completely clueless, I seriously doubt that she hasn't enjoyed a violent film before for example. Which is a voilent form of entertainment.

already posted but still the ant game arguments are very weak and some just stupid (violence in movies is ok because kids can't get into movie theaters and they aren't interactive wtf) the most reasonable person on there was Tim the other three didn't know what they were talking about.
