what was wrong was that they tried to make it more action but they failed as a action title I prefer playing gears or other real action games cuz the whole mechanics wasn't good for an action title so if they wanna go the action route they will have to change a lot to make it feel right

majority of the hate comes from wii owners imo.

i think the game is brill single and coop multiplayer is naff though

My friend just bought 5 after loving 4, and we've been playing co op for a few days.

My friend kept saying "Why do you despise this game so much? It's a good game, I don't get it?"

I made him watch videos of RE0-1. He bought RE1, and hasn't touched 5 since.

That's why.

RE4 is the best third-person shooter/horror game ever made. I didn't want a half-assed attempt at a Gears of War clone. Also, Leon Kennedy wasn't in it, and he's the best male game character in existance (If I was gay (AND I'M NOT) I would mist likely be in love with Leon Kennedy). Also, the whole "supernatural" vibe from 4 was gone.

If RE5 has been on the Wii like RE4, it might have been better but not by much. I played the PC version hoping the controls would be like RE4 for the Wii, but they just sucked (still may better than playing it with a joy-pad though).

I'd give the game an 7.5/10. Not bad, but it could have been great.
