Forums - General - I want to sell something on ebay, what should I know?

Ok, so I'v purchased several items over ebay the last few years, but now I want to sell something and have no idea where to start or what I need to know.

Anyone here sell items via ebay and can give this noob some advice?

Always give accurate details and as many as you can think of. Last thing you want is a bad rating or comments as this will damage any future sales.

Also if anyone asks any questions about the product specifically answer them quickly. It restores confidence in the buyer.

YAY! I have my 1st ebay listing! Who wants a digital camera? :p

Oh, and for your own protection, always mandate at least delivery confirmation. There are a few scumbags on eBay that will claim they never got the item, and the proof will be on you to prove otherwise. If you can't do so, you're out the item AND the money.

how do I mandate that?

Do some gravure on it and say jesus touched it and you saw him.

1000$

To mandate delivery confirmation, just include it in the shipping cost. However, if I'm reading Canada Post's site correctly, it appears to be already included in all packages. Just inquire about it when you go to ship, to see how it works.

Sell an Xbox 360 by taking 360 cardboard boxes and writing X on them.

And then laugh at the person who paid $200 for a few hundred cardboard boxes.
