Yes.

You should congratulate me. I destroyed the vile red falcon and saved the universe. I consider myself a hero.

If your Wii is laying down horizontally, you shouldn't have any problems. I've had mine scratch two discs pretty badly before while it was standing vertically, but it's a first-gen, so that may or may not affect it.

The 360 used to scratch discs

Yes they scratch discs, Wiis are well known about the DJ scene.  They can scratch, remix and MC.  I think they are playing at the download festival this year too!  :)

The dude abides

Oddly enough, my Wiis had two read disc errors when i load up Fragile Dreams. First two times it's ever happened.

really they only scratch the disks when they get moved around while their on (like if you yanked the gamecube controller cord too hard, and knocked the wii over).

i'd be careful not to do that, but other then that, don't be worried.

yup thats what I was going to say. Thats why i like playing the wii when its flat on its side instead of vertical on the stand. And also if the disc is running and you move the Wii around too much, you might hear the disc scratch. But that dude was just being dumb.

NINTENDO

nintendo forever . . .

Actually my first Wii scratched the hell outta my Wii Sports. Granted we left it in the Wii when we put it in our book bag but it's still possible. It's not like the book bag was dropped on the ground or anything just after some simple traveling the disc was scratched to hell. We had to send it in to Nintendo to get a new one. After that though we always took games out when we moved our wii.
