Yeah, GoW3 is not my cup of tea as well. Way too gory and with simple combos / combat. Still, everybody has a right to decide what they want. 

It is the best hack n slash game .if u like the genre u ll love this game. I give it a 10/10

I got the game tonight. I played until I arrived at the hall where Zeus' Flame is. I'm playing on Titan mode (hard). Already have a couple of weapons, and a couple of items (no names to avoid spoilers) .

The game is just mesmerizing, every second of it. It has to be played to begin to comprehend its awesomeness. The combat is so much fun with the instant switch between weapons and all the tools you have to wreak havoc. The platforming and puzzles, the hidden stuff always add that needed ingredient to keep the game interesting and surprising. Camera work, graphics, effects, lightning-fast framerate. You won't believe this game in motion. I don't believe my PS3 is capable of THAT. I can't believe there are people so talented either! what were those guys smoking, I want some of that...on second thought let them smoke and I'll stay healthy playing their insane game!

God of War 3 is my favorite PS3 game.

It's so much fun (except for one or two parts). It's visceral. Kratos became a "complete" character to me in 3.
The story ties together nicely and it references every previous GoW game throughout.

Unbelievably stunning, Besides GT 5, I can't imagine any game looking better than GoW III for a long time.

well, first off I would have said fanboy to refer to the fanatics and not just the fans, as obviously there will be sony fans who don't like the series, but the forums can't control themselves and we get all sorts of rediculous things that gets banned on these forums.

twesterm is the only person who has played at least 1 game in the series and doesn't like the game so far that I've read. This is a valid opinion worth noting, but was very quickly shot down. In fact, he is forcing himself to play it just so he can have a valid opinion according to the forums. pretty much every person who actually plays the 3rd game on this forum like it, and the people who don't like the series won't play the 3rd game. Even twesterm was playing 3 instead of 1 he'd probably be labeled a hater. This polarization seems to be in place because of how similar all the GoW games are, which is totally fine. But disliking GoW3 or MSG4 typically means you are a hater. However, it is perfectly fine to think NSMB (or Wii version) or Halo completely suck ass. Obviously not everyone is like this, but again asking if he should buy GoW3 on this forum is just stupid, I could say I hate GoW and should I buy it and people will still say yes despite my taste in gaming.

Also, the OP obviously just wanted someone to say yes, because he even labeled twesterm as a non-valid opinion and quickly said "i'm going to buy it"

Absolutely fantastic! IMO no other game in its gerne comes close. I find God of War 3 also to be the best in the series.

Unless you dislike the gerne, blood, violence or view the Greek gods as sacred, IMO a must buy!

Only Uncharted 2 in my eyes really rivals God of War 3 in terms of polish and love invested into such a cinematic action adventure.

YES~~! I just spent 3 hours non stop on the game...the reason i stop because i gotta work in the morning.....I found it is so much fun and the battle was epic....better than GOW I & II in my opinion......love it.....UC2 was so yesterday...hehe

Incredibly epic tight responsive gameplay.. Good pacing and mixing up of puzzles and fighting and introductions to new weapons, and moves, to keep the game from ever becoming stale.

Personally this game blew me away more than any other game in my life.
