Gameplay seems pretty medicore to me and controls are pretty clunky. The amount of times Sam decided to jump and hang out of a window instead of jumping up and grabbing the pipe directly above him. Uncharted 2 seems to do everything better, I even prefer the stealth in Uncharted 2. And as you most of you know I am Xbox 360 bias. I guess really I was bought into the hype and I viewed this game as a high production value 1st party exclusive when really it's just a 3rd party exclusive. Sure it's only a demo but it's the very foundation of the game. All your going to get in the final game is more missions, weapons and gadgets. Gameplay will still be the very same. Bring on Alan Wake? This is all my opinion and I've never been a HUGE fan of the past games. |
I did not like the old SCs either. Well they were okay, but never extraordinary awesome.
Things I like:
- synchro! The best I have ever seen in a videogame. True story. I played the German version and the guy speaking Sam Fisher is the same guy who speaks Nicolas Cage. That is awesome but nothing new since this was the case for every SC in Germany. This time the way he pronounces some words is one of a kind
- Graphics. Yeah, it is not the best looking 360 game but it still looks great. Tearing just happened for the first 1 minute for me. I did not even notice this 3 minutes later. It is not as bad as Resident Evil 5.
- Story. I want to know how this ends.
- The mark and execute is awesome. You can kill multiple people with one single move. I thought it would be too easy. Just mark and execute the whole game. You actually have to kill somebody with melee attacks to earn one mark & execute. So you really can't do this all the time.
- The game is not over once you are spotted. You have to fight back, run for cover, hide etc. In the old games this used to be a "game over" sign.
A very good game. I really like it.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
