I hate to say it people, but Perfect Dark Zero is a much better game.

In what ways? Because when PD0 was released everyone took a rather large dump on that game. My friends say It's one of the worst sequels in existance, tho I disagree theres a lot worst out there. The only thing PD0 did better for me was more bots and players. The movement felt even more slow paced, the single player was boring, and the overall design was just bad. PD0 also has more multiplayer focused achivements. Yeah, that's about all I can think.

Oh and It's cheaper (I got 2 copies of PD0 for $5 a few months ago at Gamecrazy. B1G1 on all their $5 or less titles) though Perfect Dark Remake is a bargain at $10 considering what you get.

I'm not insulted by your opinion I'm just trying to understand how PD0 is better. Maybe I need to go play some PD0 later to get a better understanding.

It's just that simple.

I had no idea about not being able to join other players matches. Are you sure they weren't just full? Oh well that stinks, I guess quick match and luck then lol.

Well my friend was the one trying to join my game when it was just 3 v 3.  I didn't try it myself but I don't think he would lie to me about it.  But next chance I will try it.

Anyone know how to get the counter op achievement?  I tried it with my friend earlier and he beat the level as Joanna and didn't get it then I tried it where I was Joanna and let him kill me.  Still neither of us got the achievement.  I tried checking some guides but it's still kinda early.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

Well I don't have the nostalgia that some people have for Perfect Dark. I played it back in the N64 days and I hated it. Now its on the 360, so I decided to give it another shot and its worse in many ways than I remembered. I hate the level design, multiplayer is a mess, and the control is atrocious. What else can I say? For some odd reason though, I don't hate the game. I just have mixed feelings.

PDZ is a generic shooter with no glaring issues other than boring multiplayer and a weak story.

Basically, I'm saying PDZ is the less of two shitties.

I have no idea why you would rebuy an updated version of something you hated. It's the exact same game with updated graphics and better framerate. What exactly were you expecting?

This really needs explaining?

The last time I played the game was like a decade ago. Sometimes you appreciate a game the second time around. Aside from superior visuals, it also offered online play and I get to play with a good controller.

Like I said, it wasn't a bad buy. But I'll never understand the hype of this game.

Edit: Oh, most importantly! It was only $10. Whether I love it or hate, I can't complain for that price.

I downloaded it right when it released, and having a blast with it. It's always been my favorite shooter, and it still holds up great.

I do have an issue with the game though, most levels are much too dark. I know the game is called Perfect Dark, but come on! About 1/4 of the multiplayer levels are nearly unpayable, and I have the brightness of my TV jacked up so much that all other games are in fact too bright.

Still an awesome game though!

this XBLA title's performance will make or break a real sequal

I was hoping for tweaked controls... now I'll be hesitant to pick it up

I don't like that they've reskinned some of the guns (Shotgun and K7 Avenger for example), they don't look as good as in the original. That and not being able to join online games as a party are the only gripes I can think of for this game (although I don't own it).

I played the trial version and it is just as awesome as I remember!!!

Plan on buying within the next few days. Btw how is it on LIVE?

Well thanks for the input. I am not going to flame you like some other members. Was just curious as to why, and you explained why.

@XBL Performance - Very little to no lag for deathmatch. I noticed some heavy lag in co-op with random people. Only thing I hated so far was the fact the host leaves the game shuts down (no host merger).

All small gripes for $10, bigger gripes if the game was priced a lot higher. Still would have been content with a $20 disc version.

It's just that simple.
