You think people have to go to school to think their country is better then anothers?
Heck, that's just self identification. Give people who have no real prefrence between red and blue backpacks a red backpack... check back in 3 months and you'll find out they perfer red backpacks now... not only that, their original assessment of blue backpacks will have gone down.
Just being part of a country will do that. As for amrican schools. Honestly, it's a bit misleading. We average out some of the worst schools in the developed world... and we have a TON of horrible schools, though we also have a lot of schools that could go toe to toe with just about any schools. That's why, despite the US school systems being broken forever, we've got so many bright scientists, historians and the like.
