Oh - and Marvel as well |
However, do either of you know where it actually started? Hint: it wasn't Contra...
I was pretty spoiled from being sick and staying home (king of the house) half the time, so my parents gave up on kindergarden for me.
Ended up going to dad's work and playing on the computers there.
I actually didn't own a console until the PS2 came out.
Born in 83, played Pong before I could walk. Got a NES probably in 87 or 88, and I rented every NES game that existed back then. I ate the cereal, I ate the ice cream sandwiches, I drank the juice boxes. I still have the first issue of Nintendo Power, but I guess when I was little I cut all my favorite pictures out of it.
Rubang, you think that, relative to its time, the 'Nintendo craze' with the NES was even bigger than nowadays with the Wii?

Yeah - what he said
Unicorns ARE real - They are just fat, grey and called Rhinos

I turn 38 in June and I started gaming in the late 70s. The first home console I gamed on was the C64 I also had a friend that had a 2600. The 80's had some great games.

Nintendo Power rocked, did you get Dragon Warrior with your subscription (were you even subscribed at that time?)
That was the coolest gift ever... My grandparents renewed my subscription every year for my birthday :)

Of course, I played lots of games in the 80s, consoles including : Atari 2600, ColecoVision, Intellevision, Commodore 64, Sega Master System, NES, Sega Genesis, Turbo Grafx 16. Game Boy and Nintendo Game & Watch as portables.
