Playing it on the 360 at the moment. Story is superb...shooting is not that great but I don't care as I want to see what happens next.
The fact you are not some hairy chested Russian superhero and are a regular joe schmoe really ads a lot of the credibility of the story.

Not gonna lie, you made a big mistake on the 360 there. The game looks absolutely astounding on the PC. It also seems like it handles a lot better, especially the shooting.

Not going to lie as well. I am downloading it for the PC as we speak. :)
Gonna give it a go with Nvidia 3D vision.

I wish I could do 3D, if it's implemented well this game would be utterly sick. Sadly my 9800gt cannot handle even the highest settings without dropping under 20FPS.
OT: Another problem I noticed was the locked FOV. It's far too small, or at least it feels like it. I know that looking straight, I can't see any mutants at my feet.
the guys in the Steam forums said to look at "STEAM/userdata/somenumber/43110/remote" for the cfg files, and that you can change the FOV there. if the default is really 45 it's absurd lol
I still can pre-order the game and get RF:G, but I think I'll just wait for a deal, looks like it suffers from "consolitis"
the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

Yeah, i've heard horror stories about 3D vision requirements for this game. I'm hopping GTX260 SLI is good enough to do medium setting 3D...

Awesome thank you, but yeah the FOV is retardedly small, I was gonna say 60 but I felt it wasn't even that.
The funny thing about this consolitis is that even with all of that, the game must play terribly on a console. I mean, with the FOV and enemies jumping and all of that, using a mouse is hard enough, can't imagine this on a stick.
Edit: Oh shit. The graphics options are in there as well. AWESOME! I wonder why developers do this, they know PC gamers will just go and change settings in ini and cfg files to fix their gaming experience, why don't they just add it as options in the game? Also yeah, the fov is indeed 45. There is also a bunch of interesting options here, on top of the standard god mode settings, that I wonder what they do.
I haven't upgraded my PC for 3 yrs and now can't afford to :( Guess I'll have to try this on medium and try pushing some of the settings up.

After some tinkering with the cfg the the game is exactly I want it to be, though to be honest 60 FOV strangely was the sweet spot for the game I felt. Usually I hate 60 FOV. You can also push the settings up one by one, because I have a feeling there's one or two that take up serious amounts of resources while others not so much but still look pretty.
My real regret is that the game only works on 2 cores and not on 4.
