Forums - PC - The Sith Lords have been fully restored.

Roughly six months ago, a beta mod for the already good game, Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic 2: The Sith Lords, was released. At the time, it gave many avid gamers something they had longed for for years - a version of KOTOR 2 that was more or less complete.

Now, according to the official project forums, this mod has been completed. The final version (apart from the inevitable bug fixes and such) is downloadable from this forum thread:

A certain factory has been revamped from earlier releases, scenes from the ending have been restored, and the whole thing should be better than the earlier releases of an already great mod.

So, enjoy, I guess. :p

The BuShA owns all!

Sith Lords was an amazing game. Yeah Obsidian basically rehashed the engine and the ending was dissapointing, but the characters and writing was all there. Whats this mod all aboot?

It's just that simple.

Oooooh. Suhweeeeet. Now I just have to get my hands on SWTOR II again

hmm I wonder if i can find a copy of kotor2 i guess

It basically fills in most of the (feasible) stuff that was left out of the original game due to time constraints. Here's a pretty complete list of what the mod does and does not restore to the game:

The mod basically holds a crapload of small fixes/scenes, some moderate ones and a few really huge ones.

Also, another group on the same forum is modding the GenoHaradan faction back into the game as well.

Holy Mary, mother of God.

Urk.

Looks like it's back to Windows for me.

is it free?...if it is, is there a way to get the original game free?

Um, yeah, it's a fan made mod. LucasArts would sue them out of existence if if wasn't free (not that they wouldn't do that if they just felt like it, either).

And the game's several years old, you can get it pretty cheap from auction sites and such if you look around a little.

Now if only Black Mesa can be released...... :P
