Forums - Microsoft - We owe Bungie an apology....

...for criticizing the price of ODST. Now before you bash this thread read my points and tell me you don't agree. For $60 you get:

1. Brand new campaign (on the somewhat short side 6-8 hrs but up to 10 hrs with exploration)

2. Firefight mode (all new multiplayer mode similar to Gears of War's Horde)

3. Every Map Pack released for Halo 3 (total of 24 multiplayer maps)

4. Halo 3 multiplayer (for new 360 owners who haven't purchased Halo 3 yet this is huge..you can play Halo 3 online without buying it)

4. Access to Halo:Reach Beta (arguably worth $60 itself)

...and Activision owes us an explanation.  For $15 you get:

1. 5 multiplayer maps (2 of which are on MW1)

So honestly ODST is not such a bad deal after seeing how Activision wants to rip us off on this new map pack.

3 and 4 are useless for everyone who has Halo 3 then, since they had that already

your second number 4, was that already known when the game came out? If not, not valid, as people did not pay that money because of some distant beta. If it is true, then it's paying for something that's free anyway...

1 and 2 do not justify 60 dollars. Besides, before the game came out and the price went to 60 dollars, every fan justified it. Afterwards, most then pointed to "it's only an expansion pack" when the 'low' sales were criticized. If it's an expansion pack, 60 dollars is overpriced.

Yeah great thread imo. Every owes the an apology for not buying the best expansion pack on last year imo.

$60 is still not worth if u bought all the halo 3 maps... 3-4 hrs sp

I owned a 360 for 7 months and i realised there is no point will all the PS3 games coming out this year Uncharted 3 <3

PSN : Stocko

Currently Playing : Dynasty Warriors 7 (PS3, 9/10) Ar Tonelico Qoga (PS3, 8/10) MVC3 (PS3, 9/10) Pokemon Black (DS, 9/10) Dissidia 012 (PSP, 10/10), God Eater Burst (PSP, 9/10)

it was only 45 euros here! But for the people that already bought all the map packs it was a waste!

On the other hand no matter what happens with Halo it will always stay the most hated franchise ever

Not worth $60 if you ask me..

Also... Notre Dame sucks and Canes are the best mmkay? =p

Actually 3 is not useless as 3 new maps weren't available with the halo ODST previously not available. Not to mention people that didn't buy the halo 3 maps. Luckily Bungie doesn't price its maps as high as Activision so the 9 previous Halo 3 maps would have cost people only 1400 pts.
