I don't think this is going to carry over to a 99 dollar Arcade in the States (or is the canadian dollar closer to a 1 to 1 ratio to the US dollar these days?). I'm pretty sure the Gamecube established 99 bucks as the jump the shark price that only failing or REALLY old consoles go to when their time is about over.

I mean the PS2 JUST dropped to 99 dollars less then a year ago after more then 8 years on the market.

I think It's more along the lines we will finally see a revised 360 console by fall and/or they are getting a new chipset/pack in sometime this Summer. I'm guessing a new pack in.

Either way great way to clear off the shelves. $100 is my break point to buy another 360 in the US because mine or my Wife's 360 were to RROD it would be more logical to buy a new system at $100 considering MS wants $100 just to fix one.

It's just that simple.
