Let me just say that nothing will ever compare to Time Crisis in the arcade.  Nothing. But playing the latest Time Crisis with Playstation Move comes pretty damn close.

Not only that, but there are some definite advantages to bringing Time Crisis home, more so than ever before.

There are a ton of new gameplay modes and features that add to the replayability, including an online battle mode. (That’s right, Time Crisis PvP)  But we’ll get to that in a bit.

First off, Arcade Mode will give you the usual arcade experience as you are taken on-rails from one destructible setpiece to the next, fighting off waves of enemies in typical Time Crisis fashion.  Just like in the arcade, a friend can drop in or drop out at any time.  Check out some gameplay footage:  *Note the destructible environments, a first for the series.

Next up is Story Mode, where you can freely move about the stages as a member of Delta Team (uber leet).  You can also strategically take cover behind objects, as well as lock onto enemies with the new Auto Look function.  Screens of the free roaming madness below:

Take Cover!!

Come Out and Get Some!!

New to the series is Online Battle Mode.  Oh yeah, this will allow up to eight players from around the world to participate in cooperative and competitive action with familiar modes like team deathmatch, capture the flag and king of the hill.  Check these screens out!!

I See You ...

King of The Hill!!

But Namco ain’t done yet.  Sentry Mode offers up to four players the opportunity to stop prisoners from escaping during a prison riot.  Of course, we’ve got more screens to show you!!

You Ain't Goin' Nowhere

4th? Is That The Best You Can Do!?

So now you know it’s got a ton of different modes you won’t find in the arcade, but the best part about bringing Time Crisis: Razing Storm home is the one thing you really can’t do in an arcade … dual wield!! Check out this video of me dual wielding PSMove controllers at a recent Namco event in NYC.  Note my srs bsns face

<img src="http://b.scorecardresearch.com/p?c1=8&c2=2102&c3=435&c4=&c5=&c6=&c15=&c16=&cv=2.0&cj=1" />

Ok, now imagine me doing that with two of these instead …

Or two of these …

Or these …

Or even these …

See what I’m getting at?  The possibilities are endless, and the experience is pretty damn sweet.  Despite how serious I looked, I was having a pretty good time playing Razing Storm with Move.

But that’s not all!!  Knowing that replay value is the one thing that kills console sales of arcade ports, Namco has decided to throw two more games onto the disc for free!!  So you’re also going to get Deadstorm Pirates and Time Crisis 4.  Smart move by Namco if you ask me, we’re starting to see some value here.

Deadstorm Pirates is not much different than any other Namco arcade shooter, except ya know, it’s got pirates!! YARRRRRRR!

Go For The Eyes ... Or Something!!

Shiver Me Timbers!!

Time Crisis 4 was the previous installment of the series also of this gen, so it’s more than a welcome addition to the package.

Action!!

More Action!!

So let’s recap – When you buy Time Crisis: Razing Storm You Get:

  • Three games in one (Razing Storm, Time Crisis 4 and Deadstorm Pirates)
  • Four different gameplay modes in Razing storm including an all new Online Battle Mode
  • Full Playstation Move support across the board
  • The ability to dual wield guns like a pro (who needs friends!?)

So, for $49.99 exactly why haven’t you pre-ordered this yet?  It’s out on the 19th!!  That’s in two weeks!! (Amazon has even saved you the trouble of finding the move controllers and guns!!)

Get to it soldier!!

The Fight: Lights Out™

Grab your PlayStation®Move motion controllers and step into the dark and gritty underground of bare knuckle brawling in The Fight: Lights Out™. The power to climb to the top of the underground scene is in your hands. The only rule is that there are no rules -- you decide how to take down your next challenger. Get them in a headlock and throw elbows to the skull, or go ballistic by swinging with all-out haymakers. Use the PlayStation®Move motion controllers to dominate opponents with accurately tracked strikes. Do you have what it takes to rule the underground?

Features:

  • Take control of a rough and tumble bare-knuckle fighter in the campaign mode as you crusade to beat down anyone that stands between you and your shot at becoming the toughest fighter out there.
  • Feel the action by using the PlayStation®Move motion controller as you step into the game and command your fighter's every movement with lifelike 1:1 motion for deadly precision.
  • Unleash a wide arsenal of brutal attacks. Start simple with punches and uppercuts before amping up the intensity with headlocks and overhand blows to the head, plus an assault of other dirty fighting techniques using two PlayStation®Move motion controllers at once, together with the PlayStation®Eye camera.

The Shoot™

Do you have what it takes to become the ultimate action star?

Use the pinpoint accuracy and motion tracking of the PlayStation®Move to dodge attacks and take out the bad guys. From robots to outlaws, no villain on the set is safe. Bring a friend along for the ride to turn this shoot into a buddy flick. With five locations to shoot and unlimited bullets, you can bet this is going to be fun. It’ll take precise aim, mighty power moves, and a whole lot of bravado to pull this off, but that’s exactly why you’re playing.

Key Features

  • Motion controller-based gun-play including powerful special attacks, such as Rampage, Showtime, and Shockwave that allow players to wreck havoc on action movie sets.
  • Highly destructible environments that can be shot away to expose enemies, secret power-ups, bonus items and deleted scenes.
  • 5 themed movie sets including Haunted House Party, Outlawed, Robot Rebellion.

The Sly Collection™

The critically-acclaimed Sly Cooper® series makes its triumphant return this fall with The Sly Collection™, for the PlayStation®3 system (PS3™).

The Sly Collection™ features three PlayStation®2 action-packed classic hits; Sly Cooper® and the Thievius Raccoonus®, Sly 2: Band of Thieves® and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves® fully remastered in high definition. Great demo on The Fight - Lights Out.

PlayStation Move is the Best of What’s New in 2010

"

By now, many of you have thrown a punch in The Fight: Lights Out, returned a serve in Sports Champions’ table tennis, or scored a headshot in MAG. After spending some time with PlayStation Move themselves, some of the industry’s top critics have seen first-hand the power and precision of the PlayStation Move platform. As a result, Move has been recognized with one of the industry’s most coveted awards. We’re very excited to share with you that Popular Science has awarded PlayStation Move with their 2010 Best of What’s New award in the home entertainment category, an accolade we’re extremely proud of.

The editors of Popular Science selected Move as the only video game technology worthy of the honor this year, calling it the “most immersive gaming controller” on the market and “the first motion-capture game system accurate enough to attract the hardcore gamers who consider the Wii and Microsoft Kinect to be kids’ stuff”."

"

But that isn’t the only honor PlayStation Move has earned as of late. Recently, Move was also named a CES Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering award winner in the electronic gaming hardware category. In addition, Move was awarded the National Parenting Center Seal of Approval in the video game category. Each of these honors demonstrates Move’s ability to provide a versatile experience and also speaks to the variety of software already available.

When we set out to develop Move, we knew it had to offer something for everyone. It had to improve and build upon the core gaming experience that PlayStation fans have come to expect from their PS3 system, but it also had to open a new dimension of entertainment to those who may have never considered themselves gamers. If these awards are any indication, I’d say we’ve succeeded at what we set out to do. With games like The Fight: Lights Out, Heavy Rain, Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, SingStar Dance and Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11, to name a few out this year, and an already exciting lineup of 2011 games – including Killzone 3, SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALS and LittleBigPlanet 2 – we remain committed to offering the most immersive motion gaming experience available."
