Forums - Sony - Am I gonna be missing story pieces If I jump into Yakuza 3 straight.

I was wondering If the story of Yakuza 1 and 2 are connected to yakuza 3, Do I need to play the first 2 yakuza to get the whole plot or is it like GTA where evry new one is a different story?

The stories are linked somewhat with returning characters, but don't worry, there will be a recap- video for both of the games in Yakuza 3, just like Yakuza 2 had for the first game.

Yeah, you wont miss out on anything important.

Yakuza 3 is awesome btw. This past month has had a ton of high profile releases and some really great games... but I can honestly say that Yakuza 3 is the game I have the most "fun" playing.

Yes. You get the possibility of a flashback at first, or you can "reminisce" on the past in your room anytime you want (in the game)
