If a person cannot see the imitation, I dont know what else can I do besides facepalming infinite times.

Anyone quote me, and say this is not a rip off, That will be historical.

and Nintendo took that design from Le Stick for the Atari.

and atari stole that design from the joy stick

and if you quote me and try and say it wasn't a rip off then you are in denial.

Every controller is a copy of a previous controller just with added buttons and features.

This is only my opinion.

Nintendo didn't copy those. They copied the remote control. They even admitted it.

But I still say copy8ing the form is accepting a standard. Again, the games matter, and being Wii game clones with more detailed graphics is the real ripoff.

Did you see the video I posted... where he specifically states they didn't combine it with things like accelerometers until 2008?

The angle stuff isn't done by color.  It's done by accelerometers and gyros... which isn't at all mentioned there... or anywhere with the controller until 2009.

yes i did.that does not mean they were not adding them. he said nothing of the sort about barrowing from Nintendo, your trying to say now Nintendo gyroscopic and accelerometer's were Nintendo was the only one's thinking about using them. once again get out of here with that!

the playstation 3 had six axix since 2006, they already had a gyroscopic controll's why would they need to barrow that IDEA from Nintendo. they already knew about it.

So your theory would be... half of Sonys controller was an Idea that won't be till 2010.  Yet it's technology was show 1999-2001... yet for some reason they never talked about this second part even though this guy loved to talk about that stuff.

Yeah, that doesn't sound far fetched at all.  As for the Six axis... again something never mentioned until AFTER the Wii.

@ pb

Le stick sounds so interesting, yes indeed Nintendo might have find some inspiration over that shitty waggle-sensor-wannabe and created motion controls indeed.

As for Atari copying joysticks, I believe, Atari sucks big time :)

I don't care what nintendo said.

The nunchuck is simply a throw back to older console controllers but with added buttons

and the Wii Remote was inspired by older motion control technology, again with extra buttons.

"I don't care what nintendo said."

The remote control was before those controllers, or around the same time. So you not caring can't change those facts.

And they copied the concept of motion control, which is what Sony did. Neither copied the tech. Again, I stated directly that the games matter. Did you miss that?

I don't care what you say.

Do you realize that that isn't a motion controller at all do you?

I remember when the Wii was first launched, The bias people of the gaming community labeled the Wii and everything motion sensing a "FAD" with a limited life span, 4 Years later the Wii is way ahead of the mighty PS2 in timeline leaving it's competitors a long way behind.

hense the word "Long"

Now I'm a Multiformat gamer (aka no fanboy) but I do feel what Sony have done with "move" It's just embarrassing, how can Sony sleep with themselves at night knowing they copied the Wii's motion sensing feature. They should of just got paper and traced the Wii mote.

Wouldn't it of made more sense for all three consoles to focus on thier "Strengths" rather than their weaknesses?

The PS3 install base are mainly 18 - 35 year olds.... are they going to make the switch from Metal Gear to Basic Table Tennis?

Your thoughts?

to be fair, the ps3 move looks a little more advanced than the wii mote.

and aswell as a table tennis game, they're gonna announce titles that will support.

to name one atm Gran Turismo 5, which alot of people who have a ps3 have been wanting since it was announced.

Really? Did this thread really go this far? Do some of you take the actions of a corporation so personally that you'll stoop to this level? The backlash over Move makes the backlash after XIII went multiplat look tame.

And to the OP, making an effort to remind people that you're not a fanboy in every one of your posts is the sign of a guilty conscience. >_o
