I was also wrong, im 40 hours in, one of the best FF. Waited a long time to finally receive an awesome jRPG. IMO last awesome one was suikoden 5 3 years ago lol. Luckily tales of vesperia in the meantime was good also. The others meh...

Wow, it's like I'm hearing myself talk when I read that.

*high five* for good jrpg taste :)

Suikoden 5 really started to turn the series back around.

I did not like Suikoden III very much at all, IV was okay, but could have been alot better, but I did like that they tried several new things with that game.

Tactics was, well a tactics game that was.....not good.

Suikoden 5 brought back many things that I loved about the first 2.

can anyone tell me how much time it would take to complete the last 4 chapters? (10-13)

Probably 15 hours at the very least

I have been on chapter 11 for about 5 hours, and probably have the same time amount of time to go

I agree with Suikoden 5 bringing back the franchise on the right way (except loading time before battle). But im pretty sure Suikoden 3 is a lot better than 4, Suikoden 4 misteriously end after 30 hours, its way to easy to get the 108 stars, and the characters level up very easily also. Did you finish both?

Gamestop tried to sell me on the Strategy Guide for FF XIII. Which after playing and beating Final Fantasy XII (I spent over 200 hours and I thought I got everything). I looked at the strategy guide for it (which they were both the collector's edition's) and realized how much I still missed.

But I never use strategy guides til after beating a game and if I really care about the game I'm playing.

I've finished them all. Are you kidding me? lol.

While I didn't like III I still have played it 5 or 6 times.

The strategy guide is great. It is completely spoiler free and does provide great tips on strategies and places to grind a little

I still refuse to use one til after I've beat the game.

What if i didn't like Final Fantasy XIII? I would have put money down on a strategy guide I would never use.

Same with any game. I hate that they try to push that crap on customers.

No its alright, taste are different, but Suikoden 3 was longer, characters was harder to find, difficulty was also harder and the strategy combat was better than the easy boat runic combat. What did you prefer in the 4 over the 3?

I'm trying to remember if I got everyone in III.

Was there more than 4 "main" characters.

There was the 3 you started with from the 3 different nations/regions. Then you pick up thomas, but I don't remember if there was more.
