Wow what an idiot. Wii Play is a title that is directly tied to sales of new consoles due to its being an additional controller + a game, so whenever less Wii consoles are sold, less Wii Play being sold is no surprise.
As to Wii Fit + balance board, first I believe I read in several places that was supply constrained as well, and second, I believe a lot of people who would be potential buyers for that would be people who bought a Wii just for that initially (so they would buy it together with the console), so if less consoles are sold, again less Wii Fits will be sold.
The other Evergreen titles sold relatively well because they are much more "second wave" games, games often bought after someone already got themselves the console.
Pachter is truly an idiot (or maybe. just like IGN, he is trolling to get hits...).

No one knows why, but everyone does know that Wii Fit is supply constrained as well as the console itself. No exclusive until SMG2? What about MH3 and RS2? Ah, what am I saying, Wii is DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!

"More casual than ever". What a great line. I guess you can get more casual than a Wii owner, because those casual Wii owners buy almost as many games as the "hardcore" PS3 owners.
Anyway, this is great. I'm gonna sit back and take this all in. It'll make March NPD all the sweeter.
