No I read it. You said 2 times as important as the rest of the world combined. We're talking about hardware sales.

 

So let's look at the market leader, Nintendo. The Wii currently has 32.26 million consoles sold in America. Others region + Japan = 36.40 million.

 

32.26 million < 36.40 million.

 

And the US isn't helping the 360 outsell the PS3. The gap has been closing for a while thanks to the Others and Japan region.

Is your reading comprehension really so bad that you actually believe what you just wrote?  Here is a hint, you highlighted the wrong part of sentence.

Nope, I actually read everything you said (and btw, I edited out the third sentence), and I highlighted what I think is the right part. But please, enlighten me on why it is at least twice as important as the rest of the world combined in terms of strategic importance (or are you just trying to act smart?).

no no no, i understand what he's trying to say...America IS the most important part of the world, he's trying to say that if you separate the World in Europe/Others/Asia/America, America is the most important, because it's the most hardware/software seller WW, but obviously, if you can mantain the rest of the world with you, then you'll win, but that's really difficult to do.

Well that makes a lot more sense, if that's what he meant. Hardware sales is the discussion at hand here, not software sales. If he said software sales, I'd agree.

 

But to say it's twice as important as the rest of the world COMBINED in terms of strategic importance, that can be misinterpreted, man.

 

He could've explained it the way you did, instead of getting so inflammatory.

Dreamcast released first last gen and got wiped out because of that

Sega was usually the one issuing new and still cheaper platforms and look where it got them.

As for your derogatory comment against MS you should refrain yourself from doing stuff like that.
