Well if it is multiplatform then it would have to be a new IP, and I love new IPs so I hope this is true

It could happen. But I would see sony shoveling some money there way before letting that happen.
They probably want control over their I.P. back. It can't be nice having some other company controlling their work, no matter how nice said company is to them.

thats exactly what happened with Bungie. They get along with MS great but they wanted to ensure that they didn't have to make Halo forever.....though their pretty much second party but still they abandoned first party in order for control of their own IP's
