According to "a trusted source", IGN is reporting that Insomniac Games - creators of both Resistance and Ratchet & Clank - is about to abandon the land of PS3 exclusivity and become a multiplatform developer.

Despite long ties to the PlayStation brand, Sony doesn't own the studio, so if the team decided to go and make games for the Xbox 360 (or the PC or Wii), there'd be nothing stopping them.

With both the developer's flagship properties, Resistance and Ratchet & Clank being Sony-published titles, don't expect to see them appear on a different system. But Insomniac's next project? If this turns out to be true, it could be developed for as many platforms as the studio's heart desires.

This is from Kotaku, what do you guys think?  The past couple months rumors have been spreading like wild fire that Insomniac is going multi plat and now big publications like IGN and Kotaku say its true as well.  Could we see Insomniac annouce multi-plat at E3 this year?

while its true the rumors have been around a while the fact that major sources are reporting that its happening like IGN and Kotaku there could be a grain of truth to it. Might not be true but I thought it was def interesting

why are you freaking out over this? I posted a rumor thats on the internet thats relative to gaming theres no need to get all worked up over it. Also guess the rumor isn't true. Though honestly thats a pretty dumb move on Insomniacs part, same deal with every third party who stays exclusive right now all these developers are bleeding money, multi-plat is always the way to go if your third party.
