Forums - Nintendo - Why Wii oners hate IGN

your biggest issue with him is the fact he reported some false rumor, welcome to the internet.

They tend to be a little more tactical than that.

I could always reverse that on you though, if your biggest problem here is people being annoyed by other people's opinions...

From what I have seen today, Wii and PS3 fans hate IGN? Thats 2/3 of their target audience. Wonder how they stay alive...

Come on people. No reason for any of us to get upset like this over someones opinion. Have we really gotten to the point that we can only tell it is his opinion if he says IMO? We all know why Nintendo did not destroy the other consoles this month and that in itself should be enough.

And you can... say it with me....

Their traffic pretty much halved in 2008 and halved in 2009 again. Hence a lot of trolling for hits recently.

I'm glad to be a part of that, even if it's only like .000000001% of their hits. Back in the Gamecube and early Wii days I was a huge visitor of Ign, but lately Matt and the Nintendo channel have been bashing Nintendo and especailly its fans too much for my liking. That Wii podcast where they spent the whole time ranting about lazy Nintendo and its stupid fans was the breaking point for me that caused me to stop visiting the site for good.

Ign has lost all respect for a large portion of the fanbase that helped make them popular.

Of course, the NPD numbers just hit and the Wii dominance is at an end. Outsold in February by Xbox 360, ending a forever-long winning streak. And PS3 was not far behind, either. We'll just have to see if Nintendo isn't willing to move that date forward.

This is my favorite part.  Matt completely ignores the fact that the Wii was supply constraint.  And based on February data alone, Nintendo is no longer dominant and needs to push the date on Wii HD forward.  Presumably the Wii is a failure now because it didn't top the 360 in February.  Also, I should stress again, supply issue aren't taken into consideration.

This is just awesome.  Really.
