I dont know where you people are finding others that said they hated motion controlled gaming and now like it because Sony is doing it.

Examples or stop spreading the BS.

Find someone that is supporting the PS3 Move that doesn't own a Wii and you'll find someone that mocked it in the past. If they were really into the idea they would have bought a Wii during the last 3 years, no?

What about people that don't own a Wii because they thought that most games on the Wii were unimpressive and is currently interested in PSMove? The people like myself.

On that note, what is drawing you towards the Move that you did not see in the Wii?

I have asked a few of my friends this ( PS3 owners), they wanted to get the wii, but they felt like it was limited whenenevr they came over to play, but now they see the move and their reaction are like "wow i really like this". So now im like "the wii did not interest you but the move does?" I dont get it.

Same here, out of the 100's of Wii games, what is it that was so bad about them, but apparently so good in Move games? All I've seen of Move is Wii-like games. Exactly what about the games that were shown yesterday is so impressive that it apparently trumps anything Wii offers? I don't get it, either. Now if they'd shown something truly new and unique, something really innovative or different, I could understand. But they showed a Wii Sports clone, a family party game, an (apparently) laggy shooter demo and some other casual things... so, what gives?

Frankly, I don't see anyone going crazy for these games Sony showed at all, we don't want these games, Sony is doing them for a different market. What I want personally is to enjoy a big time FPS using these toys, taht's all I want.

Modern Warfare Reflex exists already.

I just want to be clear that several of the posters here are saying that because there is no "proof" of it, that no PS3 fan was against motion controls and is now magically interested. Not one person trolled the Wii and now can't wait to waggle with their "Move", right? PS3 fans are completely blameless? Is that what is being said here?

I'm not saying that.  I'm sure there could be some.  I'm just saying that not everyone who likes the "Move" bashed the Wii-mote, that's all.

Cool. I just wanted to make sure we hadn't gone over the deep end, I have seen trolling on the Wii, and I would be completely blown away if none of those people that were doing that are now embracing this. And I'm sure not nearly everyone that likes the move bashed the Wii, I like the Move and I didn't bash the Wii, I've had one since 2007.

I'm more likely to bash both now, but I never would've bashed the Wii back then.  I simply haven't found any software that utilized the motion controls that i liked (other than wii sports).  As such, I'm not really interested in the Move, but good software could change my mind.

Really? Not Modern Warfare Reflex, Godfather, Sports Resort, Tiger Woods 10, Pro Evo Soccer, Silent Hill, No More Heroes 2 etc?

I can't count on my fingers the amount of superb Wii control-based games.

i seriously didn't intend this thread to be a flamebait....
can you guys act more civil? =s

I could see Tiger Woods being cool and have thought about getting it. If more of my friends lived closer I probably would've gotten it. And I did think about No More Heroes as well, might still get that. Wasn't Modern Warfare Reflex a remake of the original? The rest I'm just not interested in. I was pretty interested in The Conduit but reviews suggested it didn't come out as well as I hoped.

I think part of it might be that I'm spoiled by all the HD/High production values of the other consoles, too. I'm not saying its right, but it's probably happened to some degree.

As I said in another post, maybe I'm just too picky or motion controls just aren't my thing. I'm not trying to bash the Wii here - I have the same initial thoughts about the Move and Natal. And I did like Super Mario galaxy. If you love them, great! I'm all for people enjoying whatever they find interesting. I just hope I eventually find something I like in motion controls as its obviously the direction a lot of companies are taking...

1) Eyepet [many people here can confirm my interest in this game]
2) Socom4
3) The promise of precise tracking in a 3D space.

So far, I'm disappointed with what they showed at GDC. I'm expecting this thing to feel more like an extension of your body but both fighting games that were shown were using preset waggle gestures which is the reason alot of Wii games don't interest me.

This is at the bottom of page two so some might miss it [50p/p].

That's my answer. As for what's wrong with Wii games? The ones that interested me were more enjoyable without the Wii mote [brawl and Twilight Princess, mainly].

I don't complain about Move's price, because I obviously don't intend to buy it.

I just want to say that I was laughing about Sony's attempt at motion sensing after last year's E3 and the new details revealed at GDC make me laugh even harder. So don't be surprised if you see me mocking Move in various threads. Over the past few years Sony's PR has talked so much crap about the Wii and Wii gamers, I simply can't pass up all these great opportunities for mockery.

Do you have any links?  I'm not trying to "challenge" you, I'd actaully like to read them and laugh, too.  Hopefully someone reminds them of some of it at some point.

there were so many people that said the same thing about the wii and bashed it before it came out and now look how well its doing. if it looks good enough and the price isn't too high I'll buy the thing. but as far as selling it to the masses i dont think move or natal will drive up console sales. they should both sell a few million based on all the damn marketing and hype behind them but in the end they're both going to be so-so products...wait for the hype to die out when both of these release. people are going to play them and be like "oh...thats all it does? wow I really got excited over nothing"

It still doesnt change the fact that Move is expensive, and this will be a major issue for potential buyers.
