Forums - Sony - Playstation Move pricing in UK/EU.

...why use the price of the ps3 and not the price of the controllers?

34 pounds in UK? Then that would mean the bundle would be 60 pounds.

Stop trying to complain, when you have no facts.

They actually retail game and eyetoy for 39$, so we are probably looking for a 69$/79$ US package with move wand. Not sure how it translate to UK or Euro tho.

you know nothing man
why do you want us to say anything concerning the pricing based on nothing ?

me : 2 to 4 peripheral to buy = too complex too expensive = bad move

Let's wait for E3 (and GOW3 !!!)

Well we do know the us pricing for the starter pack so we can extrapolate...  dont you think my assumptions are reasonable?  and if you do what do you think of the costing?

NO. NO. and again NO. We DO NOT know PRICING for any "starter" pack. The only price we know is for DEVELOPMENT KIT for DEVELOPERS (hint* they say it at the conference, unfortunately you didn't want to pay attention. It is a developers conference after all).

MY SPECULATIVE OPINION:

I think whatever bundle they come up with, PS3 (no DS3 included) + Move complete set (camera, move remote and sub remote) and Sports game, they will sell (at some loss, obviously) for $300, not more. Core PS3 without Move would be priced $250 by Fall, and they would sell the complete Move package + Sports game for $80. So new PS3 owners save $30 when they buy the Move bundle (which doesn't include a Dual Shock 3 controller).

Why would anyone buy the core PS3 for $250 if they get the full Move set for $300?  Preference, and just like Wii, you must buy the "classic controller" separately. So if you are the regular PS3 buyer, you pay your $250, you get all the regular goodness of a PS3 and Dualshock 3 controller. You want the Move bundle but also like to play regular games? By the bundle for $300, but you'll need your DS3 controller, so you will have to add $40 to get that. It's a matter of choice. You already own a PS3 and wanto to jump on the move? $80 and you also get the included software to try it out (people used to pay $90 for a toy guitar and Guitar Hero, so I don't hink $80 or $90 is too much to ask if you include the complete hardware set + a demo-game).

I consider they MUST sell the bundle to match EXACTLY the Wii bundle (in terms of content), and therefore it CAN'T be priced more than $300 and include anything less than  the full Move package (the Wii is already $200, and it could be a little less in around 18 months). It's my sincere opinion PlayStation Move will FAIL if the bundle is priced at $350. Looking at it, $350 doesn't seem much. A 250GB PS3 is priced $350. But from a consumer perspective, and considering the LEADING competition (priced at $200), it seems to me it's a little too much to ask and going with that high price will not help the Move penetrate into the mass-market the Wii has captured, and that must be Move's main focus.

The development kits aren't under 100 dollars. They would most likely be a couple hundred considering the ps3 dev kit was about 12k at launch.

I also don't know why they would bundle a game for the developers

If this post causes people to put you in your place don't say I didn't warn you. But know this... you are wrong

I think the individual parts are going to be exactly like the Wii mote/Nunchuck cost. The start pack will just include some Greatest Hits (or just cheap) game with a PSEye.

they didn't announce any pricing for retail, can you agree to that at least?
