You can say that about anything. the droid from verizon is a rip off of an iphone. A game is a rip off of another game. The list can go on and on.

Lol. Are you really comparing a new motion controller (of which there are only 2 similar ones) to something as commoditized as a phone?

You can say Natal is an advanced version of the eye-toy. Let's not act like No other company but Sony copies someone else. that's the point I was trying to make. Is PS-Move a knockoff of the Wii-mote,sure but as long as it's not %100 exactly the same and they don't violate any patents they can probably get away with doing this. This goes for any other company in the history of the world. Yes that's me being sarcastic. lol

I definitely agree with that.

As far as I know, it's only a ripoff in Japan. The Black Wiimote hasn't been released in North America or Europe, has it?

Of course it's a giant stinking rip off. Does it do it in a slightly different way? yes. Does it improve on the original that came out over 4 years ago? yes.

Does it entirely owe it's existence to the Wii? Yes.

Has it shamelessly copied the form factor and chased the same target demographic in it's attempt to appeal to the market of it's competitor? yes.

Does it cement Nintendo's status as the most influential company in the history of videogames, past present and future? Oh HELL yup!

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I am a bit disappointed cause it really looks like th Wiimote and Nunchuck. Ok, there are a few buttons here and there, but basically, it is an imitation. I find it so amusing that both Sony and MS said that partygames suck and now Sony showed a demo of such a game. This is hypocrisy at its best. Anyway, I am still looking forward both to the Move and Natal controllers because the least it will bring is an early WiiHD.

Or even better the next big thing for Nintendo ...for so Sony can copy it later ^~

-I start to think that my joke prediction of PSP 2 coming with 2 screens and camera and touch interface , may no longer be just a Joke ...

I'm a little concerned for these controllers.

Anybody who's played a few sessions of Wii Sports can agree with me, You play motion games, odds are you are gonna accidentally hit SOMETHING or SOMEONE at some point while you're swinging it.

The part that usually ends up hitting shit it the FRONT of the controller - Now, those glowing ball, how sturdy are they gonna be? Are they built that they can be knocked off and just placed back on? Or if you accidentally smash it off, is it done for?

Cause I guarantee, if they are hard and glued on there, they WILL get smashed off.

saw in an 1UP video that the ball is actually rubber. So it probably won't break.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Mmmmm, rubber. So much more sexy.

It is a rip off , but i dont see anything bad about it, its a natural progression.

cool pic of cartman. I think I remember that episode. lol

Total Ripoff. However it won't have any succes until it hasn't got an hardcore killer app (like an Uncharted implemented version for example). I don't see why a casual gamer whould buy a PS3+Move for 400$ when it can have a more complete library (in terms of casual games) on Wii for 200$, it's not like casuals care about HD graphics. Without doubt this year will be crucial for Ps3 future succes due to Move and the 3D upgrade.

it's a copy, of course.

improvement..yea...to the regular wiimote.

but motionplus is pretty much 1:1.

wii resort table tennis does what the sony camp was tryin to say...they were smart in not mentioning which wii-mote they were tryin to compare to.  motionplus is exactly the "move".

need not worry though.  "move" is an option.  wii-motion is standard.  as long as dualshock is the primary control source, 'move' won't do much for them.

The Lag, the annoying light (you want THIS is dark rooms?), and the high price will surely make Move Sonys next flop.
