Hopefully this will make motion controls fun.

The motion controls will be functionally identical. If you genuinely hate the motion controls on the Wii, then I wouldn't expect the PS Move to go over any better for you. If you enjoy them then I wouldn't expect them to be any worse given that you use the two systems similarly. There really isn't much variance between the two now that Sony got smart and added the analog stick sub-controller.

Really? It looks to me like it can do so much more than a wiimote.

Once again i have to ask.....like what? What exactly can it do that the wii can't.

I still prefer the Wiimote. It has a nice heft and feel to it. To me, the Move looks too small and light, just like a normal PS controller. I've always loved Nintendo controllers, the GC controller being my favorite. Nice button layout, good size, decent weight, my kind of controller. Ever since the ps1, every PS controller I've used has been too light and too small. The Move looks to be no different.

ok that was full of win dtewi XD

So waiting for the same people who said "OMG Natal is like the eyetoy" to come in here and argue that this is not similar to the Wiimote.

How? What new feature can be used to change the way the motion controls work? The article above highlights just how little of a change there is. Shooters will control the same, lolwaggle minigame collections will function the same, and the motion detection itself will largely be unchanged. There is nothing so different as to open up a new avenue to performing an action. Sensor, gyroscope, and buttons to make traditional games possible to work on system/control set-up.

Interesting article, but the fact remains is that they do the same thing. One is just supposedly an upgraded version so far.

yep, that's why every post I read irritates me so much, because they think its the same thing with black paint over it, and a complete rip off. Don't say something is the same thing without knowing what you're talking about.

Agreed

Don't get overworked about that. PSmove still will be remembered as Wiimote ripoff, you can't do anything with that - accept the situation and do not waste your time.
