Forums - Sony - How the PlayStation Move is NOT a Wii Remote

Interesting article, but the fact remains is that they do the same thing. One is just supposedly an upgraded version so far.

yep, that's why every post I read irritates me so much, because they think its the same thing with black paint over it, and a complete rip off. Don't say something is the same thing without knowing what you're talking about.

you aim to shoot and select.....you wave your arm get a reaction.

Tell me what exactly can it do different other then doing it better Mr. Full of Knowledge on the subject?  They may track differently, but the results are the same, albiet...upgraded like I said.

EDIT: and just so you know. Clone or not, I'm still getting it. I wouldn't mind playing some games with it, particularly MAG if they do it. There is no denying it is a clone, just get over that fact and just enjoy it.

Nice run down. How did it handle tho (In S4)? No mention of that!

Hopefully this will make motion controls fun.

The motion controls will be functionally identical. If you genuinely hate the motion controls on the Wii, then I wouldn't expect the PS Move to go over any better for you. If you enjoy them then I wouldn't expect them to be any worse given that you use the two systems similarly. There really isn't much variance between the two now that Sony got smart and added the analog stick sub-controller.

Of course they are not the same, you pay more for the Move-mote as it carries the prestigious Sony brand.

I have both a playstation eye.....and an Eyetoy....and I still have the demo disc with the actual source video of this..

Aside from the very few eyetoy games that barely worked....which I shamefully admit to owning....

Nintendo went for motion detection rather then video, which at the time was an improvment and made it actually viable for a market....video gives pretty much the exact affect but it was poorly done nad not capitalized on.

Your still flailing your arms about like an idiot wither it be with motion technology or video capture technology which is actually much closer to natal. Which natal is copying sony on. What we can give Sony is actually combining both the wii technology and the video capture technology together.

I find this funny as I'm usually the one ripping a hole into nintendo....and today it's the opposite.

Really? It looks to me like it can do so much more than a wiimote.

I don't see any great differences. Except no wires. No wires is fun.

Most of those points are superfluous anyway.

One thing odd though, it says it's BETTER for having LESS motion control in the Nunchuck??
