im super pumped right now I just won a laptop from toshiba by playing that memory game that is right above this post. So if you see it give it try, its a pretty basic game but who knows you might win a laptop!!!

You very well might have just won a shitty laptop provided you jump through the right hoops at the right times buts that's only because they just sold your phone number to 10,000 telemarketers.

Well whatever Im happy i won a new laptop, mines 6 years old and on its last leg. I love how people always have to look at it negatively....

I'm all for free stuff, but it's not worth your personal privacy.

Damn... I just have insurance adds and one ad where I have to buy cereal to get 25% discount on some teapot..

Yea im hoping since it was actually through toshiba.com that it wont cause telemarketers....

It's a Toshiba laptop and you may have even gotten an email from a Toshiba domain, but an ad agency ran that ad and contacted Toshiba.  I know I'm negative, but there are two reasons they can give you a laptop for free:

1. Your current laptop is probably better than that one
2. They take any information you give them and sell it to anyone that will buy it.

If you gave them a phone number, be prepared to get hammered by telemarketers.  If you gave them an email address, prepare to be spammed.  If you gave them a physical address, prepare to get loads of junk mail.

You've already shown them that you're perfectly willing to play their game so your information is like gold and there's no reason they wouldn't sell it.
