Let us not forget how microsoft fucked PC users of the first gears of war. If I can't sell my game when I am fucked like that. I would be pissed. Both sides make sense. However as a digital medium for games. DD isn't quite there for the mass markets on the consoles. No doubt it does its fair share. But people are too used to getting real copies of the games.

The hell are you talking about?

You cant sell PC games anyways...

And MS has the right to screw PC gamers as they are "competition".

And let's not forget the nice advantage digital distribution has for the corporations: No annoying competition. Yay, high prices. Monopolies FTW.

Yay, anti-monopolistic law would prevent this!  More likely to have lower priced games than physical media!  Yay!

Not to mention places could sell vouchers for downloads and offer cheaper prices.  Less shelf space needed!  More money saved for everyone!

Ignorance FTW!

I remember reading a thing about gears 1 suddenly not working for the PC for anyone who owned it on that because or something or other.

And these are consoles we are talking about, not PC.

More likely? When, where? Concrete examples, please. I can buy many 3-year old current gen-games for ~10 USD a pop on ebay. Source: www.ebay.com

"Well certainly with the Xbox 360, we had some challenges at the launch. Once we identified that we took control of it. We wanted to do it right by our customers. Our customers are very important to us." -Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb (10/2013). Note: RRoD was fixed with the Jasper-revision 3 years after the launch of 360

The game didn't work. I don't remember what they did. But you couldn't play the game anymore online or some shit. Also I know you cant sell PC games. Thus why I am saying as of right now many people will prefer a disc they can sell, to a DD they can't

If it were an all DD system.  Gosh why are you even trying to make an argument based on a NON DD system to counter my claim?  And actually, all that link shows is a confirmation of my earlier argument that buying used is useless.  You can buy new games on eBay for only a few bucks more than used!  Get a shitty quality used game for $10, or a brand new perfect condition game for $13?  Hmmmm....

You were suspecting your own ignorance while reading my posts?  Glad my posts did what they were intended.  It really is sad that you fail to see the counterpoints and set yourself up like this.

Gears on PC was a big fat fail, they've screwed PC gamers so bad, that noone actually wanted the second gears to come anyway.

1) You need to pay Xbox Live account to play multiplayer on a PC, for one goddamn game!
2) It didn't work on half of the PCs due to screwed Ati Driviers
3) A little down the time some security stuff shitted the game over some date issue, I remember that one really well since it was prior to me playing that game, you needed newest patch, which didn't work in the first place, took like month to adress...

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. If games on DD where going to be cheaper they already would be because all those cost saving measures are in effect, but they are not, and will not get any cheaper. Look at MW2 on PC, despite not having to pay royalty fees to console manufacturers it still cost $60, what makes you think they won't try to squeeze as much profit out of the situation as possible and keep prices the same yet give you a product you cannot get rid off once you buy it. I love being able to trade in games that I finished but don't feel are worth keeping, and DD pretty much takes that option away.

Most likely that they know after the HD DVD failed, they would be unlikely to have any luck with a Blu-Ray attachment. Though considering how many discs some games are using now, it would be stupid if they didnt use it in the 360s successor
