Forums - General - My Son will not play PS3.. just Wii... you agree?

every system has parental controls, so you can let him play PS3 with peace of mind knowing he won't run into nerds or boobs.

The Wii isin't squeeky clean either, hyper-violent games, access to porn sites for free and access to VGChartz, the thing should be banned for sale to everyone under 45 : p

hummmmmmmmmm you are right, there´s parental controls... I will learn more about then, thanks.

PSN: franco-br
MGS4, GH, MW2, GT5p, WipeoutHD, etc..etc..

Just try to sell him on the PS3, GT5/ the upcoming move/ Blu-ray will probably get him hooked in a big way, mabey enough to get him to give up the Wii60 thing.

I was saying that its not an impossiblity. It would be idiotic to suggest that there arn't people on Wii online who are disruptive. Yes. Thats not relevant, ive played online with it and unfortunatly expierinced simlarities to both XBL and PSN. Thats good to know, however, there are still online games on the Wii have voice chat. What? When ive played online ive heard people talking. Thats the whole idea of teamwork which is vital in online games....LOL, Stop talking crap.

You can't talk to people unless you have their friend code. This essentially means all the most disruptive people are automatically muted. If you had experiences similar to that of XBLA and/or PSN then you might want to start questioning the kind of people your friend likes to game with. Quite obviously they are not people you would want to be in a game with.

sorry about my terrible english :P

Hi, my son is very, very young, I cant thrust my son to PS3, since there´s soo much violence, sex and nerds online, so, I will make ONLY Wii available to him, Am I right?

A better suggestion would be to at least play close attention to what will your son actually play. Better yet, play games you both like with him, so you can both participate in his activities, keep an eye on him and make sure he only plays acceptable games at the same time.

I know people who play videogames with their kids, and it works wonders. For the record, those kids aren't exactly couch potatoes either - one is an aspiring artist and two others are promising ice hockey players.
