Forums - Sony - MLB 10 The Show!! Nothing has ever gotten me closer.

This here is more of an appreciation thread. Last year was my first year (This gen) without buying a MLB game. 2K9 wasn't good (at least to me) and I didn't buy the show 09 cause I only had one PS3 controller so i couldnt play with my friends. This year i HAD to get a baseball game. I wanted to get a franchise going with my Red Sox and win myself a world series (or try to, lol). So i went on an "internet quest" to find what was better between MLB 2K10 and MLB 10 The Show. I usually buy multiplats on the 360 cause of the cross game chat/invite and because I had more friends on the 360, so I wanted 2K to step it up big time this year to get me to purchase their game on the Xbox. But after seeing the show in action, and due to last year's show being great i decided to get The Show. I LOVE IT. It looks so realistic and it plays well. Its the best looking baseball game i've played so far.

There has been people who have walked into my room and shouted, Baseball Season Started Already??!!, thinking im watching an actual game, lol. For those baseball fans out there with the same passion for the game that i have NEED THIS GAME. Pick it up at your local Gamestop, Best Buy......u get the point. Good job to those who made this game.

Around the Network

It's good to see that you appreciate it so much.
I wish Sony would get a studio to make football games, PES is great, but Sony can top it.

Oh wow I haven't played a baseball game since All Star Baseball 2002 which was a launch title for the Gamecube. It was really then i stopped playing sports games in general because I can't stand simulation sports titles. It was especially more blatant for me because I played baseball and I could do that any time. It is the wacky arcade sports titles that you can't do in real life that always caught my interest because I couldn't do that. And still to do this day I won't really buy any simulation sports games whatsoever. But I did buy the last 2 Tiger Woods games on Wii, but not sure if I'll continue to get those.

So although I hear it is very good, I just don't play sim sports. I'm glad you are enjoying it though and I too can't wait for baseball season to start.
