Well, you did take the lead at 3.5 thus far. And for what you sent me, that's damn good! ^_^

Okay, I've sent off reminder PMs, and this round will be ending in about 20 hours from the time of this post. For those who would like to take a stab, please feel free to do so by sending me a PM! ^_^

*strikes gong* And time's up! I did send out reminder messages; a shame that many people did not seem to respond. Though I have spoken with a few people who did feel this was too hard, and I will be responding by making the next round I do easier. But, without further ado, here are the answers for this round:

1. I... thought more people would get this one? This was basic fight music from Saga Frontier 1.

2. Well, I thought I was being a little tricky with this one, glad to see that I was wrong. From Secret of Evermore, this is from the intro sequence in Podunk. See note on #8, also.

3. I really thought this would also be easy. I was determined to find a game on each platform that I could (see #9) for Squaresoft. They didn't have too many PS2 games, so I took the Jungle Book music from Kingdom Hearts 1. I guess that was still too obscure?

4. I decided that, with Sony's focus on 3-D, I should pay homage to some old Square 3-D game. Initially I was thinking of 3-D Worldrunner, until I remembered that its music was utterly unrememberable. So I went to Rad Racer. I prefer the music in Rad Racer 2, so I went with that one.

5. Every once in a while, a weird game comes out of Square. (Drakkhengard not withstanding, since that came out under S-E.) And they're frequently ignored. Such is the case with Vagrant Story, the selection used here. Truth be told, I probably would have ignored this game if it weren't for a roommate.

6. I started getting a little bitchy here, maybe too much so. There are some people, myself included, who feel that the best days of Square, and RPGs, even, were in the SNES days. And there were a lot of games from Square that just never made it over here, including Rudra no Hihou. I picked it up based on the Square reputation of old, and was not disappointed in what I played.

7. Square didn't really do many portable games. And, I figured with it being Square, I had to have the token Final Fantasy in there somewhere. But the mainline was too well known. So I looked to Final Fantasy Legend 3. That was an amazing game for the time; well worth the efforts I put into hunting it down before Sunsoft's reprints.

8. Yeah, this was an oopsie also. I intended to use it as another throwback to the SFC days, and pick a song from Live-A-Live. So I went through the songs, and thought this one sounded vaguely familiar and cool. Alas, the familiarity was not from Live, it was instead from Secret of Evermore, again. I did not intend to use this game twice, but my screwup caused it to be valid twice. Oops...

9. It's time to sort out the beyond-obsessives at this point, but alas, nobody ventured onward. There was this little thing called the Satellaview in Japan. And it got Radical Dreamers, what was considered to be actual successor to Chrono Trigger. (And yes, this is before Cross.)

10. I needed to do a history lesson. Square did publish games before they started developing them. And the very first game published for the Famicom, Thexder, made a good ending to me. I've heard there was some sort of a remake for the PSP on this?

And thus ends the round. If someone wants to start up a new game, feel free to do so. If, in a week or so, a new game is not started up, I'll go ahead and create another, easier, round. I've already got the theme in mind, too...
