For those of you who don't know him, Serj Tankian is best known as the lead singer of System of a Down. In 2008, he released a solo album called "Elect the Dead".
Later on, he was contacted by the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, and together, they recreated his entire album to be played by the 70-person strong APO with Serj on the vocals, and in 2009, they showed the fruits of their labor with a concert in Auckland.
Today is the day the DVD and CD releases, and once I have the cash, I'm getting one, because the version of "Empty Walls" that Serj gave as a taster on youtube, continues to blow my mind. No music speaks to me in the manner that music with a grand feel to it does.
I'm in love.
