This is ABSOLUTELY untrue. Nintendo does not "lack any online infrastructure whatsoever". I wish people would stop saying that. Just because it's different, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.


you're right... it's easy to dismiss Nintendo's online cuz it doesn't resember any online system i have ever seen before. vgcharts gives you a username + avatar and you can input you personal info/photos...etc, same with msn, facebook +others whereas on Wii you don't have that. you have this strange numbers/codes system and it's not even the same for different game you wanna play online

you right though this technically DOES count as online, this IS Nintendo's online infrasrtucture... it was just so primative/almost nonexistant that i accidentally overlooked it

i guess i don't know much about what counts as an "online infrastructure", but imo Nintendo's online can barely be called that
