I been enjoying borderlands for a while but after playing splitscreen on ps3 version I noticed that the lag is bad, Is this just a sign that my ps3 is going or does anyone experience this too? 

-Lag in a battle when the other player accesses a inventory menu and scrolling in the menu causes lag.

-Fire explosion & lighting causes lag

-seeing through the level when running with lag

I'm only wondering because I was playing the new map pack with split-screen and got very annoyed.

If feels like ps3 got the shit-end of borderlands, I mean my first character got a corrupt save. Which was annoying but very manageable. Then again I'm very happy with the game even with these problems and I don't blame the company for them. I just have to use my xbox version to use borderlands split-screen.

No, its the PS3 version of the game, its not your console. The PS3 version has a few problems with it

it had some probs at lauch, but after update it ran superbly, i havent experiance them probs u listed from wen i had the game.

Seems like kinda mixed results... My ps3 is 80gb phat version incase anyone wanted to know.

In single player I noticed it runs flaw-less from the update but my splitscreen still sucks.

Well even in single player mode, and especially in online co-op and splitscreen co-op. I get screen tearing and lag. Especailly with larger groups of enemies and when I am using elemental weapons like my Combustion Hellfire or Glorious Serpens.

On singleplayer mode I never experienced any kind of lag.
On splitscreen I had an occasional very minor lag here and there until the final levels. In the last two zones of the story when I was fighting, the game would freeze up every 5-10 seconds and last any where from 3-7 seconds. It was just awful but I was able to finish it up. They seriously need to apply a patch to fix it and do a much better job on the next one.

I haven't played it online at all though.
