I know, and as I said I believe they're just two ways of saying the same thing. A movie with "lasting appeal" is one you will want to watch over and over, even after the visual effects are long outdated. A cd with lasting appeal is one you will want to listen to even after it drops off the charts. It means it will still appeal to you after the novelty of being new wears off.
Saying something lasts a long time is not even close to the same as saying it has lasting appeal.
Your second sentence makes no sense at all because it doesn't acount for the quality of those 60 hours. If all but two are utter shit then it wouldn't metter how many it has total. At the same time, if all 10 hours of a game are amazing then it is actually probable that I would want to replay it because I would know there is no filler material, especially in this age of alternate endings.
