Okay so today there is another review that came out with an even lower score than before.

The biggest problem everytime is that reviewers say the game is linear, which confuses me. Final Fantasy X was one of the best games i have ever played and wasnt that pretty linear?

Why is a game that has been delayed so many times and worked on for so many years having all of these bad reviews?

So what does everyone think about this and think about the game being "linear" as a bad thing?

btw you have to consider the standards are constantly evolving for what goes into AAA games. FFX was released wat? 8 years ago?... plue were commin off FFXll which is tied with DQ8 as biggest JRPG worlds of last gen, moreover thos gen western developers lead and they've set alot of standards, so it makes it hard for Japanese to do there own ways and succed which is y FFXlll is takin alot of heat from reviewers for not being more western ... but FFXlll WILL be fine it will sell just like olds ones.

It's keeping me from buying it. I was on the fence about the game since it was announced and after reading many of the reviews, I think I would just hate that game.

I might pick it up years from now when it's in the bargain bin and I don't have anything better to play, but I won't be picking it anytime soon due to the reviews.

If a game take more then 4 years to make there bound to be something wrong with it.

It deserves the bad reviews. I went on to FFXIII after completing Heavy Rain and Consider FFXIII VERY linear.

It's really poor, like playing the side quests of Crisis core repeatedly.

Linear doesn't equal a bad thing. To me it equals an awesome thing. Lays the plans for a more story centric game which I love. The negative points in all the reviews I have read either don't bother me or are just the dumbest complaints I have ever seen.

After getting several games that I loved that went against reviewers' recommendations like WKC and Mana Khemia: Student Alliance, I'd rather trust my own judgment on the games I buy. If I'm hyped up for a game and the videos of gameplay looks good or great to me, I'll buy it. Granted, I'm not really hyped for this game since I hated FF XI and XII, but at least the combat system is nothing like those.
