Left handed people could hold the nunchuk in their right hand, just like the Wii controller.

My best guess for having some buttons twice is tradition. 2x the shoulder buttons of the SNES controller, two analog sticks, two rumble thingies (hence Dualshock), six axis instead of just three.

Only one time Sony messed up and that was with teh Cell which has seven SPUs compared to the 360's three cores.

8 Spus but one is not activated and one is locked (just there for seurity stuff)

1 ppe

7 spe's "with one helping the OS"

1-spe disabled for meshed era redundancy IE: THE SECURITY VAULT.

So ? I was correct.

The Cell has originally 1 PPE and 8 SPEs.

the PS3 Cell has one deactivated (its still there just sometimes defective). And one of the 7 Spu is JUST there for security and runs the OS. Developers have just 6 SPEs for use and thats what I tried to say.

there are 8spe's one of which is disabled to developer's (that's the security vault)

the 7th spe is used for security and OS for the hypervisor

that leaves 6 free and open and 1 PPE

Lol yes I know that thats what I wrote before. First time I did not mention the PPE because he was refering to the SPUs. What exaclty do you want to tell me ? I really dont understand whats this all about.

lol..george Hotz was looking in the wrong place./just a little hacker joke

He actualy said that you could activate the idle Spe. If it not defective. I wonder how the games would look if they could make use of all eight SPEs (which is impossible cause not all PS3s have them working) Or atleast the seventh maybe if they would shoot down the last SPE Sony could decide to make use of it because it would be useless then.

Do they really need to copy every freaking time?

Is this the Nunchuk or what is it ? Anyway looks great but looks more like a WIi mote. Or do they use the digital pad instead of analoge stick ?

I dont care if its copied aslong as its good.

that's the trap it's very unlikely due to sony an IBM an toshiba took the worst case hack they could think of, and made it the Bait.

here is a question for you:

what if the 7 spe generates an mock security of the 8th SPE only while you used hardware intrusion would this go off, because it's like a single one way gate then when you try to dump the data from from the hypervisor, it take's a snapshot of the intrusion, and generates a false read out.

thus you only get inside the hypervisor once and the security update to the 7th SPE, to mimic the 8th SPE security software in the vault.

which would net you near to nothing because you still would not be able to get those reg. key's

not to say George did not hack it, I just think nothing will pretty much come of the hack

The Wii just went HD...it's called Arc, by Sony.

that's nice and all, but I really don't care...hopefully (for them), someone will.

He already  said that he and  noone else will ever get the keys. But he can bend the rules so far to possibly hack the PS OS he already dumbed Lvl2 security barrier as far as I know that means he starts messing with the Game OS. Still not a threat but the gap is a little bit more open. Btw the scene still  has no PSP keys. Its not going to stop the hacker from doing their job.

where as the PSP key's are not needed, I think in the PS3's security it just may be because running unassigned code could very well be flushed before it is able to authenticate. at least that was what some of the IBM security designer's was talking about, they took the worst

Scenario

they could think of and built up the security from there, while I think what Geroge did was pretty cool, using a board jummper to keep jumping the board to map the memory.

I think as for running unasigned code outside of Linux, there may be a big problem, getting past the 2nd and 3rd level of security

we are talking 3 year's here with some of the best hackker's arround the world trying to hack the PS3, FROM BRUTE FORCE ATTEMPT'S

TO WEB SCRI ENCRYPTION. ALL HAVE FAILED.

I am not trying to say what George did was not unique, Hell even I had an IDEA .

my IDEA also includes Hardware, but it would be so expensive it's not worth it.

that's why I am pretty sure this is not going to be as easy as the PSP for running unassigned Code.

but we will see.

So its a Wii-mote/nunchuck clone. Nice.

its not a clone if its the same thing. i've heard rumors you will be able to use the wii-mote/nunchuck for your ps3 (damn no shifty eyes emoticons available)

Because the Wii Sensor Bar is totally a PlayStation Eye. I suppose Natal is too for that matter, will we be able to use our Wii Remotes and Arcs on 360?

Lol Sony is pretty much directly copying the Wiimote and nunchuck and using their existing PS Eye tech to do it.  At least MS is doing something different than just making a copy cat controller.

just you wait for all the accidental murders (0.o)

Lol what?!

This just in: Shadow Snake accidentally murdered by mysterious laser emitted from natal contraption

"one moment only it stared out...as from some great window immeasurably high there stabbed northward a flame of red, the flicker of a piercing Eye... The Eye was not turned on them, it was gazing north...but Frodo  ShadowSnake at that dreadful glimpse fell, as one stricken mortally."

ofcourse not so easy like psp but I certainly think its possible definetly not the next months but eventually in 2011. We will see what comes from it. I would prefer nothing.
