Our local Gamestop (Raleigh, NC) is having a little bit of fun before the Midnight release.  Even tho they will not divulge exactly what they are doing, my friend and I plan on being there around 10:30PM. All we know is they are giving away "game related items".  What these are, how they are giving them out, and when I have no clue.

Who all is picking this up at Midnight?  And if so what is your local gaming store doing before release? 

If I can get a friend to go, I think I'm going.

I don't think I will be going. I have to stop at the bank and I don't feel like driving back out the next day. I'll also be tired and I don't want to start playing XIII while being tired. I'll just get it in the very early morning.

Last 2 Midnight releases Ive gone too were WoW related (BC/Wrath).  While this release wont be nearly as insane (376 people at BC release, about half that for Wrath), it should still be pretty awesome.  Im looking forward to it.

I ordered mine from Amazon so no Gamestop for me.

Still annoyed however that I paid for release date delivery and since it hasn't been shipped out yet I probably won't get it on Tuesday...

I just bought a new 1080p TV today just for FFXIII this coming week with it's 1080p CGI.

Bought my plasma for XIII as well. Lol. This game has costed me too much money. But it will be WORTH IT!

I'm thinking about just buying it on Tuesday from Gamestop if my Amazon order isn't here, then once the Amazon copy comes in the mail I will return that copy to Gamestop and use it to pay for GOW3.

well iam going to the midnight release for sure and GOW3 next week GameStop already has FF13 in the stores in my area but still needed to wait for the midnight release Monday night. Woot

I've got Final Fantasy XIII and God of War III reserved through my local GameStop.  They are having a midnight release for both games.  I'm off the next two days for both releases, still not sure if I will go at midnight or just wait until they open the next day.
