Yeah IGN and Game Informer are both overrating a lot of games.

There was once a thread about it. It showed their scores vs the metascores.

I guess a 96 meta is likely

Yes, Game Informer does overrate games. But how often do they give 10's? Usually once a year and always to the very top of the class each year. They were among the first reviewers to give 10's to Bioshock, Cod4, and Uncharted 2 and look how those all went. The only other 10's they gave this gen were MGS4 and GTA4. GTA4 is the only one I didn't agree with but there is barely a reviewer on earth who didn't fall for the hype.

someone on GT is arguing on how the reviewers are biased and how BAYONETTA is the best action game ever made..
