The game seems to have gameplay issues so I expect more reviewers bashing it. Especially looking forward to the 1/10 from Edge

Watching the first gameplay videos of this game reminded me of Escape From Bug Island, and that pretty much told me all I needed to know. These scores don't surprise me in the least.

Now I'm getting Fragile and Escape from Bug Island.

This is what you should expect from the battle system. 

Don't worry I picked a video that doesn't have much story to it, and very little spoilers.

They both praised the storyline, characters, atmosphere and music but said that the battle system was not very good. So in a way, this score from Nintendo Power really isn't that surprising.

Dammit.. What is with JRPGs these days? Is it that hard to make a good one?

Maybe I'll pick it up when it hits 30 bucks in 3 months.

The 'gameplay' is good, the battle system not so much. The gameplay focuses around exploration, think of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, but with a bit more backtracking and less segmented.

Something else I didn't mention, the music in the game is fantastic.

I liked what I saw in that video. The battle system may not be the best, but it's the exploration I'm interested in. I really want to explore that world.
