It's the value proposition. This bundle isn't for already established Halo/Forza fans, it's to draw in new 360 owners. |
new comers that love racing and FPS games ... does not make much sense

Good bundle, will probably give them a slight bump nothing major though

you sound like a billboard sign.
- Wasteland - The Mission.
Do the head people at SONY and MS not get it yet? People dont give a shit what you include, they just want a cheap price.

yea, but there's a point that going to low is like asking the guy who made something cool, for you just to give it to you. for so little what would be the point in just giving it away?
I understand many want the system to be as low as they can , but at a certain point they have to make money on their effort even on the Hardware.

ps:
Proud psOne/2/3/p owner. I survived Aplcalyps3 and all I got was this lousy Signature.

It's gonna replace the Lego Batman/Pure bundle which is currently being cleared out with a $50 gift card deal.
Currently playing on PS3: God of War III
Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII
Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger
I don't see why it couldn't be a success. Just because Halo and Forza have been on the 360 for awhile doesn't mean that everyone out there who is interested in Halo and Forza already has a 360. To this day whenever you see a "I just got a 360" thread, often times you'll see the TC say, "what are some great cheap games (and these are usually older bargain bin titles) to buy to go along with my new console?" New 360 owners are looking for cheap quality games to sink their teeth into. And packing in two quality $50-60 games with the 360 Elite at no extra charge is going to be very enticing for new owners. Not everyone impulse buys a console when a franchise they are interested in hits a console.
It'll only sway those people who are on the edge between the Xbox 360 and PS3, so a very small group of people at that and those who want to buy a system but can't afford to lay down the $400+ for games + console. I say a minor boost.
Do you know what its like to live on the far side of Uranus?

People who have $500 arent gonna waste it on a $400 console with two games they couldnt give 2 shits about, there gonna buy the $200 and buy the games they want.
This bundle hardly affects the casual crowd.
