and plus its not RPG anymore (im serious about this one =s )

God, this argument is so ridiculous. Mass Effect 2 is MORE RPG than any other game I've ever played. Pull your head out of the sand. RPGs aren't defined by their inventory system.

ROLE. PLAYING. GAME.

ROLE. PLAYING.

Think about those two words for a moment.

No, there are too many other trilogies to compete with, and this series has been tarnished with it's hyping to hell and back :/

ME1 had the story, ME2 had the combvat, graphics, style and vibe. It's obivous to me that Biowarw came up with a great story and wanted to turn it into a sci-fi trilogy but the story didnt have enough to it to fill a compleet trilogy. That is why ME2 is weak in the story department but there are still many questions unanswered.

So with that in mind I think ME3 is going to blow everyone away because Bioware's stories never disappoint and we should not forget that the ME trilgoy is one big story. If you just play Tatooine and Manaan from KOTOR then you also wouldn't say it has one of the best and most engaging stories. It's the same with ME2, it doesnt have a beginning and it doesnt have an ending. IF you've played ME1 then it has a beginning but the ending is still missing.

I think the "lack" of story in ME2 may have been intentional. BioWare really pushed character interaction over a fixed plot. Personally, I think it was brilliant how BioWare let the player "own" his own universe by forging relationships instead of feeding them some hackneyed plot devices.

I guess it wont so hyped be if they release all 3 on PS3 as well.

Is The Sims an RPG?

No, it's a simulator. Hence the, you know, name.

Oh, I feel like I've just had an epiphany

after the release of ME3 and Uncharted 3 we would be able to give a better opinion...

Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4

who knows, we will have to wait for ME3, but while we wait the God of war trilogy could very well be the Best Trilogy Of all time

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

I base the term RPG on the origin of the phrase, D&D or other pen & paper role-playing games. The Sims doesn't qualify because it simply replicates real life. I could play the game or I could go outside and do the exact same thing in real life.

If you show me a place where I can hunt a dragon with a sword, cast spells, or save the universe, I may re-think my stance on the subject.
