Well I seriously do not know which game to get out of these two games. I own a PS3 and an XBox 360.

If I buy FFXIII it must be on the PS3. It is on one Blu-Ray disc and is in 720p(HD) the graphics look much better than 360 version which is on 4 discs and in 576p(not HD). However I have never played an FF game and do not parrticularly like JRPGs. May or may not be AAA game on Metacritic due to mixed reviews. Multi-platform game which has taken a long time to develop. 70 hours+ of game play. Is there any reason in buying Final Fantasy XIII for the XBox 360?

God of War 3 well I have not played any of the previous two God of War games. I do like the hack n' slash genre. The Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden games were fun games. God of War 3 releases only a week after FFXIII. Should be rated as AAA on Metacritic. PS3 exclusive game. 15 hours of game play.

Anyway which game is the better of the two games? So both games will sell a boat load of PS3s in their launch weeks. PS3 sales pushed through the roof. Some VGC sales analysts say 500k PS3s will be sold in the launch week for both of these games. We will see.

GoW 3 is a safer bet.

well get the god of war collection for 30$ *cheaper on ebay* and if you like it, get gowIII, if not, get ffXIII....and gow has more than hack n slash, it has an epic story and feel to it, ill be getting that over ffXIII i cant wait ^_^

God of War III looks amazing but too violent. i dislike over violent games, however im sure it will be a very fun extreme game at least.

Final Fantasy XIII simply doesn't seem worth it, i don't like the main character (not a pretty boy) and it took to long to get here. it doesn't look fun.

My choice... Resonance of Fate for PS3, it looks amazing without being to violent, it has a Final Fantasy VII-ish ting of awesomeness, AND most importantly two of the 3 main characters are BOTH pretty boys with one pretty girl. perfect balance instead of female bias.

IMO scores for each will end up like this if/when i get around to playing them...

GoWIII - 8/10 even if its too violent, the Titans looks epic to fight, Kratos isn't a pretty boy but atleast hes a MAN!

FFXIII - 6/10 Female Lead, not enough playable pretty boy characters(its a must for FF games now), took to long to make with not enough content to justify its price tag, and finally the directer himself said FFXIII isn't a RPG.

RoF - 9.7/10 SEGA creators of Valkyria Chronicles and Phantasy Star Portable 2, Tri-Ace Creators of Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile, there love child RoF should surpass all of the above, which should be near-masterful in the end.

It's GoW III for me all the way. I'm sure like a lot of retailers here retailers in your neck of the woods give a pretty high trade in price if you bring it back within a few days of purchase if you buy day 1. So I'd suggest getting GoW III because you can get pretty far into it within a couple of days, so you'll know whether you like it pretty quick. If you don't like then take it back for high trade in $$ and get FFXIII. If you don't like FFXIII, well at least you got to give both games a fair shake and you can still flick off FFXIII and go buy something else cheaper like Deadly Premonition.

I am not a fan of high levels of violence in games so I will pass on GoW3. I will pickup FFXIII and RoF thou.

Final Fantasy 13 is awesome =) I have it =)!
And God of War 3 is Referenz for all the genre. This game is a Must Buy-Game ^^

Gow3 is more than 15 hours of gameplay. You'll want to playthrough that epicness at least one more time, and perhaps on a higher difficulty. Also, there are challenge rooms which the developers have said are the best of the series, it should be interesting to play.

Final Fantasy games are always long and the good parts are far between, with plenty of going around grinding and lots of time spent customizing stuff (leveling up, upgrading, etc)...If you don't like jRPGs, I don't see how you'd prefer FF13 over GOWIII, your choice is clear already.

PLUS: GoW3 is the current graphical showcase of the generation, the end of a masterpiece trilogy (shame on you for not playing the others, the collection is only $25 on Amazon) and any serious gamer MUST own it/play it.
