Forums - Sony - First PS3 7 Million Seller!

Modern Warfare 2 just crossed 7 million in sales on the PS3 alone. It looks like it will pass 10 million on the 360 in about a month or so too.

So, it is the very first PS3 title to cross 7 million in sales. Personally, I wish that "honour" had fallen to another game, perhaps Uncharted 2, or...well anything other than Modern Warfare 2. You can probably tell I was a tad disappointed by MW2.

Omg, and I still don't own the game!

Yeah I wish anohter game could have done it instead of WM2. MGS4 should have been a 10 million seller to me.

MGS4 definitely would have been a more worthy game than MW2, or even GT5:P (not saying it  is bad, but I'd prefer to see a "full game" do well).

If only inFamous our Demon's Souls were to see numbers like this...

4 ≈ One

I don't own it either. Gonna wait for the GOTY edition. Have already played and completed the campaign after borowing the game from a friend so no rush.

Hopefully GT5 will surpass this game in sales. Time will tell.

Well deserved indeed.

That was fast. Nice.

Modern Warfare 2 definitely deserves the 7 million, and any sales it gets beyond. Its level of customization and variety is amazing. The haters don't know what they're talking about.

Quite aware I'm going to get a lengthy reply for this explaining to me why my opinion is completely wrong, but I don't feel there is a great deal of variety or customisation. I mean, yay, I can add a scope or a paint scheme to my gun, then a couple of perks that boost my ammo and make me walk quietly, woop! It's not that deep...
