Seems like that 10/10 was a "political" move designed to bring the metascore up a bit rather than being a true reflection of the score they would have given in isolation. Oh well, they probably only bumped it by 0.5 so not that big of a deal.

I think that FF fans should be used to the fact that each new installment of the main series is different, rather than waiting for them to mimic the exact same things of FF's of the past. There's no excuse for even those FF fans from the pre-PS1 era, and that's counting those that have followed the series from the start, like me.

That tone was set right from FFII, which made humongous changes to the FF and JRPG formula. It was the very first JRPG to use a differential leveling system. Each action had a consequence to your stats or growth. You used a spell, you gained a level for the spell, you improved your MP, your intelligence stat. You suffered damage, you improved your HP and your vitality stat. It had no MP system, which also was a huge departure from even todays JRPG standard.

Yet, nowadays FFII is considered a classic, and people overlook those changes. Why can't they do the same for each new FF is beyond me. I guess you put it right, everyone who wants to hate on each new FF, will find reasons to do so.

Hopefully FF13 will be even greater! although i won't expect any good looting system/upgrades features which is feature in WKC

FF13 gameplay looks like a masterpiece! I would be happy if SE provided English subs and japanese voice because am disappointed with FF13 Eng voice acting lol i seriously thought it was edited and redone by the uploaders as a joke LOL especially when Lightning said SERAH its your fault HAHA

I think the voice acting is good. Can anyone tell me if they lip sync is actually good now? I remember back at TGS09 I only watched the 1st 20 seconds and Snow was WAYYYY off. But the voice fit well.

I believe it was because it was dubbed.
