I will enjoy GoW, but I wouldn't expect you to know that it is more than just a button masher. Stop playing it on easy difficulty, some of the combos you can pull off is insane.Its unfortunate some people can't enjoy this epic series, but people have different tastes and I respect that and thats something you can't seem to do.

So please try to deny that your post is nothing more than hating on GoW.

And calling a series "garbage" when a lot of people worked hard to create is very wrong, especially since it has been proved otherwise both critically and by fan reactions. God of War is one of the best franchises ever created, and easily the best hack 'n slash franchise ever created. No amount of your complaints will change that. 

I am expecting a 9.7 or higher, either way.

GoW3 isn't a button masher, but it doesn't have half as much depth as Bayonetta, DMC or NGS.

I'm super hyped for GoW3 as well, but it desn't have anything to do with the battle system, but about the scale, the epicness and the design.

Of course it's fake. I know photoshop when I see it cause I work with it alot. I guess this was another way to hype up GOW3 even more.

See, here's where your faults lie. 

"Typical" God of War fans? Well, I am a fan of the game, and I enjoy the game very much. However, you're right. The combat is rather simple, but that does not mean that it is not mechanically sound. Games do not have to be complex in execution to be challenging or good. There are places in the world for games like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden, God Hand, what have you.  They are all great games, but that does not mean God of War 3 is not a good game. If you want to knock on god of war for having single button combo mashing (which every one of those games has as well, no ones forcing you to put it on easy and use just square square square in bayonetta, trust me,  there's a one hand game mode for that.) God of war 3 has many combos, lots of which are just as intricate or complex as those found in those games. The combat is not the main focus of the game, however, it's the visuals, the mythos, the music, the puzzles, the adventure. Sure it has gore. Metal Gear Solid has lots of gore. Cutting someones throat or blowing their head off with a bullet is no less gory than cutting a mythological creature that does not exist up. 

You are the one here who fits a "typical" profile. Internet tough guy who doesn't like a game and wants to get angry about it and rain on someone who's enjoying themselves. If you're the same vic_viper I know (manly tears) you've lost every amount of respect you've ever had. 

I especially like your homoerotic statement. As if Metal gear solid wasn't overflowing with just that. there's nothing wrong with homoeroticism, and I sincerely hope you don't feel that there is. As if you couldn't make yourself look like any more of a "typical" person. I honestly don't think there is any in the game, but Greek culture was full of it. And I'll tell you this, as you hide behind your computer and call down someone for getting excited about something, The Greeks were a thousand times more manly and more awesome than you will ever be. 

And as for you comments on the game being garbage, every god of war up to this point has been stellar. The game series is full of polish and perfectionism. The developers love what they do and put all their heart and soul into making these games for the core gamer. They have very well thought out plots, an invisioned and brought to life mythos and a unique twist on a mythological realm that we can all relate to. The games are mechanically and technically outstanding. Have exceptional sound quality and breathtaking orchestral soundtracks, spawn massive detailed incredible environments with amazing dungeon design that is hand in hand with the legend of zelda, with spectacular boss and set pieces. Throw that all together with some of if not the best graphics ever concieved for video games of their time and you have a series that is far, far from garbage. 

You might not like it, and guess what? you don't have to. Doesn't change the fact that the games are some of the best ever made, and god of war 3 will be no different.  

Wow! I was expecting you to go crazy and say something like: "OMFG U R TEH FAGGOZ! GOW R WAY BETAR TAN UR STUPED GAYLO!"  But instead you made your point sophisticatedly and by doing so, stopped a potential flame war before it even began. Guess I've been hanging around GT too much, since the majority of PS3 fans over there instantly freak out, if anyone dares to disagree with them. 

On Topic: If this IS true, then... Well, I probably won't care, since Internet reviews are nothing more but opinions that gain a little more publicity and I'll buy the game either way. The game looks awesome, mostly because of the massive scale of the game. (I'm talking "Makes Shadow of the Colossus look tiny-massive!")
