nordlead said: well, first off, if you don't have anywhere you can play on wifi I don't know why you need your code. But whatever.
Anyways, not every wifi access point is created equal. On my home setup I had to switch my Wifi to 2mbps only for it to work with my DS. So maybe the access point you were trying to use was incompatible. There isn't much you can do in this situation, as I'm sure petitioning them to change the Wifi just so you can play DS will get you nowhere
So, assuming you don't actually want to play in the cafeteria, go wherever you will be playing (say a friends house) and try using their router. Since it is in their house, if you can't connect go to this page - http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/ds/routerInfo.jsp - and then it will tell you how you need to have the router set up. (how I figured out my router had to be set to 2Mbps) |
Well, you see... Everyone else is able to get on Wi-Fi because they have a laptop which can access the internet (via Google, MSN, ect.). PSPs and most cell phones also have this ability. I'm the only one with a DS (which, as far as I know, cannot access the internet) so far. I talked with some of the people at the college and they said that there was a school code/password and that if I go somewhere that doesn't require a code/password, the connection might work. In other words, they were saying that you have to be able to access the internet to type in the code/password.
If there is actually a way that I can access the internet with my DS, please let me know. From the menu title of my Pokemon game, my DS found the Wi-Fi connection and I saved it to one of the three files, but when I tested the connection, it failed.
I'm unbeatable at Mario Kart Wii and Pokémon Battle Revolution!
Dare to try?
