I guess Wii numbers are so low they didn't even bother mentioning them but i would still like to know. Where could I find out?

Combined, yes VC+WW > XBLA (and likely PSN).   But then, most WiiWare games don't have online play, and NO Virtual Console games do.

Must be a TON of Mario Kart online players out there. :/

If the wii was 9.6 hours a week, the overall average would be 7.2. So either the wii avarage is even hihger than u predicted or we're missing something!

I say we just accept that the average Wii gamer plays online over ten hours a week. I want to live in that world :)

This is one of my big beefs with these usage surveys. The press releases are always really ambiguous as to what the numbers actually mean.

Geez i'm a Wii owner and i think there was a time I played Modern Warfare Reflex at least 30 hours a week before it died on me.
I know that's not typical but that was my average. Why MW on the Wii? After IR pointing i can't imagine going back to a standard controller for FPS even with the improved graphics but that's just me.

While I'm sure Wii has decent online useage, there really aren't that many online Wii games to justifying it being above other systems (now if WoW was on Wii.....)

Me thinks there is some flawed assumptions herein.

I think combination use accounts for the higher number -- not the Wii being used extensively. Because someone somewhere would have reported the Wii being used for 9-10-more hours per week online.

According to the original NPD report, the Wii was not in the top 3 most used hours per week meaning it must be under the PS3's 5.8 hours per week average. But I do admit that the NPD has some explaining to do as the numbers are inconsistent with the overall average they listed of 8.0 hours per week. If X360 is the highest average at 7.3 hours, then it is impossible to have an industry average of anything higher than 7.3 hours.

I will note that Wii may not be used as much online per person but that it does have the second most online users of the 3 consoles in the US.

X360 at 48% = 10.6 million
PS3 at 30% = 3.9 million
Wii at 30% = 9.6 million

Now if the same data is applied globally (not a very accurate extrapolation, mind you), we get the following:

X360 at 48% = 18.37 million
PS3 at 30% = 9.75 million
Wii at 30% = 20.46 million
