How is downloading it and still buying a copy any different from just buying a copy? Its a freaking win/win. You get to try it out earlier and they still get your money.

It's not a morality issue, it's a legality issue. What's being done is illegal, and VGChartz being used by members to promote illegal activity, or worse to point people in the direction of where to go to break the law puts VGChartz in some legal jeopardy in some countries.

Keep your thieving ways to yourself is all I ask.

And before you say the OP isn't promoting piracy, put on your cyber-cop hat and read this thread from that perspective.

If it turns out S-E deliberately leaked it, well then it's fair game. But until you know that for sure it's illegal (in most countries) and people should not be using VGC as a means of talking about it in a positive light. 

For VGC to reduce it's jeopardy this thread should at least be locked.

I'm going to assume that your post is completely wrong considering we've had a site administrator in this thread and he didn't feel like he needed to lock it. I don't think VGC is in "jeopardy" at all over a thread like this.

It is a legality issue. It is absolutley redicolous that something like software piracy would be treated as a criminal act.

He isnt promoting it. He asked if it will cripple the sales, and added that he is downloading it himself. Theres no direction to where you can download it and the news isnt exclusive to VGC, and by no means will VGC be accountable for him downloading it. And if a cyber-cop read his post he'd probably go "oh.. damn these kids" and continue on with reading the forums on why CGI should be a mod.

Yes a pain in the backside to hack it currently and all that does is gain you access, and even then a normal joe would be able to do absolutely nothing.
